Thousands of women gathered on Ahmede Hani Street in Diyarbakır's central Kayapınar district and marched with slogans in support of Palestine.
The women, who marched in the direction of the corridor created by party officials along the road where the march would take place, gave important messages with bloody baby models in their hands.
The mass came in front of the Gaza Support Tent located at Yenihal Bridge Junction and made a press statement here.
Before a press statement at the Gaza support tent, Sema Yarar, HÜDA PAR's Vice President for Family Affairs, addressed the crowd. Yarar emphasized the heightened suffering in Gaza and decried the ongoing atrocities, calling for action.
"O Muslim leaders! Your silence will have heavy consequences," Yarar warned.
She continued his remarks as follows: "We are mothers; which mother's heart can endure this cruelty? No one has the right to inflict this cruelty on those innocent babies and orphaned women. O women's associations! Where are you? Why do you ignore this atrocity against Gazan women? O international law! Zionist israel is committing massacres and genocide. Why doesn't your law work for them? O Muslim leaders, the West has done the West again, why are you silent and spectators to what is happening? By God, the penalty of your silence will be heavy."
Yarar advocated for cutting all relations with zionist regime, closing Incirlik and Kurecik bases, and implementing a state-sponsored boycott of israeli products. She highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, where phosphorus bombs have been falling, causing widespread suffering due to a lack of basic necessities.
After Yarar's speech, Habibe Günel, Head of HÜDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Women's Branch, read the prepared press statement.
Günel stressed that the Palestinian territories have been under occupation since 1948, and millions of Palestinians have faced systematic persecution and displacement. She stated: "This barbaric Zionist gangs, which have no respect for either human beings or the sacred, continues to increase the dose of its atrocities. Palestine has always exposed the hypocrisy of this so-called civilized world."
"Today the world has lost its humanity in Gaza," Günel said, expressing deep sorrow for the thousands of children who have lost their lives in the ongoing violence. She called on mothers worldwide to raise their voices against the silence surrounding the Gaza crisis.
Günel declared: "We declare from here that the pain of the mothers in Gaza, who do not know which one of their children is in pain, is also the pain of us mothers in Diyarbakır. The relics of the mothers who did not find anyone to entrust their children to and entrusted them to Allah and became martyrs are our relics. We will protect these relics and raise our children with the Palestinian cause."
The event concluded with a prayer by Ümmü Gülsüm Can, Vice President of HÜDA PAR Diyarbakır Provincial Women's Branch, echoing the participants' hope for a peaceful resolution and justice for the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
