In an interview with Al Jazeera on Sunday, Raisi said that Israel launched an unprecedented and extensive strike against Gaza from air, sea, and land, but was forced to retreat despite the support of the US and some European countries.
He said that Iran has always supported the Palestinian cause and urged all Islamic and independent nations to assist the oppressed people of Gaza.
He also criticized the US for providing israel with weapons and equipment to commit crimes in Gaza, while asking other countries not to interfere in the war.
Raisi said that the zionist regime and its American allies will never succeed in eliminating the Palestinian resistance movement, which has its roots in the blood and soul of the Palestinian people.
He said that israel's atrocities against the Palestinians were motivated by their fear of the spirit of resistance and steadfastness shown by the oppressed people, who are willing to sacrifice their lives but not their land.
He said that in the current war of wills, there is a clear contrast between the nation under coercion, tyranny, and brutality, and the arrogant and oppressing entities, namely the US, israel, and some European states.
Raisi expressed confidence that the strong will of the Palestinians will prevail and that the future belongs to Palestine and its determined nation.
He also condemned Israel's war crimes, saying that they massacred women and children during air strikes on hospitals, churches, mosques, and residential buildings, and even killed journalists and their families.
He said that the issue of Palestine is the first matter of the Islamic world and that the liberation of al-Quds city is a crucial and focal point for the Muslim nations.
Raisi called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, breaking the siege of the besieged area, and providing the necessary assistance to the people of Gaza.
He said that collaboration, solidarity, and exchange of messages among leaders of the Islamic nations will help pursue such demands of the Islamic world regarding the Palestinians' cause. (ILKHA)
