The Orphans Foundation (Yetimler Vakfı), known for its efforts in delivering aid to orphans both locally and abroad, has swiftly responded to the urgent call for assistance in Gaza amid the recent attacks by the occupying regime.

Recep Bozkır, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Orphans Foundation, spoke about the organization's aid efforts for Palestine and urged philanthropists to exhibit empathy and support for Gaza.

Bozkır highlighted that they obtained permission from the governorate to launch an immediate aid campaign as soon as the Aqsa Flood operation began, noting: "Since that day, we've been continuously providing aid to Gaza. Even before this event, our foundation has been aiding orphans and families in need in Gaza. During previous conflicts, we procured two ambulance vehicles for Gaza."

He emphasized that philanthropists should not feel helpless or distanced from Gaza, saying: "Every individual can make a meaningful contribution in line with their capacity. If everyone donates according to their means and sends it to the Orphans Foundation, we will, God willing, ensure it reaches Gaza. We've provided aid to our brethren in regions affected by attacks, missile strikes, and building destruction, thanks to the support of generous donors."

Bozkır called on Muslim communities to take a stand by supporting Gaza in a manner that matches their means and by boycotting products associated with the occupying regime. He said: "Our country is predominantly Muslim, and we are numerous. If each one of us donates even a single lira, we can address most of the needs of our fellow Muslims in Gaza. We need to spend and support our Muslim brothers and sisters there. Avoiding action and consuming Israeli products only strengthens the occupying regime, perpetuating the suffering of our brethren."

The Orphans Foundation has established penny bank stands at various locations, including in front of a shopping mall at Yenihal Interchange in Diyarbakır.

They plan to expand their presence to other places such as offices and the Grand Mosque. The organization also operates stands in different cities throughout Turkey. Philanthropists can contribute to the Orphans Foundation via banks, penny banks, or cash donations. Further information is available on their website (https://www.yetimlervakfi.org.tr), where donors can track the progress of their aid contributions. (ILKHA)
