This visit is part of HÜDA PAR's ongoing efforts to address the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, following their earlier visits to the embassies of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran.
The purpose of these visits is to mobilize concrete support from Islamic countries in response to the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, who is also an Istanbul Member of Parliament, was joined by HÜDA PAR Secretary General and Gaziantep Member of Parliament Şehzade Demir, as well as HÜDA PAR Deputy Head of Organization Hüseyin İmir.
The Palestinian Ambassador, Dr. Faed Mustafa, warmly received the HÜDA PAR delegation. Although the meeting was not open to the press, both Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu and Dr. Faed Mustafa issued a joint statement following their discussions.
Dr. Faed Mustafa expressed his gratitude to the President of HÜDA PAR and the accompanying delegation for their visit and support.
He emphasized the dire situation in Gaza, where the population has been subjected to relentless bombings by air, land, and sea for the past 13 days. The bombings have left no safe havens in Gaza, as hospitals, schools, and mosques have all been targeted.
Mustafa deplored the inaction of European countries and their support for Israel in this crisis. He called upon all countries and the international community to intervene against the occupiers and open the closed roads for aid to reach Gaza.
He underlined the unwavering confidence of the Palestinian people in Turkey and its people, emphasizing the need for global action and support to end this ongoing tragedy.
Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu
Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, on behalf of the Palestinian people, conveyed his condolences to Palestinian people to the victims of zionist atrocities in Palestine over the last 13 days.
He expressed his solidarity with the Palestinian people and decried the ongoing oppression faced by them, not only in recent times but since the British occupation in 1917, particularly since 1948.
Yapıcıoğlu described the recent 13-day atrocity as unprecedented in history, with bombings raining down upon Palestine, targeting every aspect of life, including schools, hospitals, ambulances, journalists, children, women, and the elderly.
He stressed that all of humanity, irrespective of nationality or religion, should stand up against such oppression. In the face of this brutality, he contended that it was enough to be human to condemn the violence.
Yapıcıoğlu pointed out that the Zionist regime left the Palestinian people with limited choices, either succumbing to bombardment or enduring death by starvation and thirst due to the suffocating siege, which does not allow humanitarian aid to enter.
He urged humanity to come to the aid of Palestinians and help deliver humanitarian relief, including water, electricity, and food, to those under siege. He called upon people to support humanitarian aid convoys for the innocent and oppressed people who have been trapped for 17 years.
Yapıcıoğlu pledged HÜDA PAR's continued solidarity and support for the Palestinian people and the cause of Al-Aqsa Mosque. He firmly declared that they would stand with the Palestinian people and never leave them alone. (ILKHA)
