According to a statement released via the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' social media account, the Zionist occupation regime used internationally banned white phosphorus against Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
“Israeli warplanes and artillery use internationally #prohibited_white_phosphorus, destroying Al Karama neighborhood in the northwest of Gaza City with a continuous series of airstrikes. There are casualties and wounded, while ambulances and civil defense vehicles are unable to reach the area due to the intensity of the airstrikes and the destruction of the leading roads,” the ministry wrote on X.
White phosphorus bombs, also known as phosphorus bombs, are incendiary weapons that release white phosphorus when they explode. White phosphorus is a highly flammable substance that can cause severe burns and respiratory problems. It can also ignite clothing and other materials, making it difficult to extinguish fires caused by white phosphorus bombs.
The use of white phosphorus bombs in civilian areas is considered a war crime. (ILKHA)
