For close to 15 years, Richmond dedicated his life to the Christian priesthood. However, a defining moment in the form of a vivid dream has redirected his life's trajectory in an unforeseen direction.

While he was sleeping in the modest church, he had inhabited for over a decade, Richmond experienced an extraordinary dream that was to reshape his spiritual journey. He heard a celestial voice instructing him to guide his congregation to don white clothing. This dream, which recurred over consecutive nights, conveyed a message of increasing importance.

Sharing his experience with Ilke News Agency (ILKHA), Richmond reflected on this transformative episode: "I was in the church, it's a small church and I used to sleep where my mother used to sleep... The voice was saying to me, 'Tell your people to wear white toppies and white clothes.' The dream kept appearing night after night, each occurrence amplifying the significance of its message."

Moved by this spiritual revelation, Richmond decided to share the divine vision with his congregants. This powerful scene was captured in a widely circulated video, portraying Richmond and numerous members of his congregation reciting the Shahadah—the Islamic declaration of faith—as they wholeheartedly embraced their newfound belief.

Richmond narrated his evolving journey in his own words during the interview: "I am Ibrahim Richmond from South Africa. I've just recently embraced Islam in April of this year... I was little bit worried because now first time same voice, same dream... I felt relieved they accepted the dream."

As Richmond delved deeper into his newfound faith, a sequence of events further reaffirmed the significance of his transformation. Muslim visitors, clad in white garments as prophesied by his dream, arrived at his church—a tangible manifestation of his spiritual vision. This interaction deepened Richmond's engagement with Islam, prompting him to embark on a study of the faith.

The culmination of Richmond's journey unfolded before a congregation of approximately 2,500 to 2,600 members, as they collectively recited the Shahadah, publicly attesting to their transition to Islam. This pivotal event solidified Richmond's understanding of the dream's gravity and marked the initiation of his renewed path.

Richmond spoke of his unwavering commitment to his newfound faith and his determination to follow the teachings of Islam, inspired by the life of the Prophet Muhammad and the teachings of the Quran.

His testimony underscored the unity and beauty he found in Islam, as he shared prayers for a world that embraces the religion's message of peace. (ILKHA)
