During the operations carried out between July 1 and July 31, law enforcement teams from the Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch apprehended a staggering 2,090 kilograms and 138 grams of various illicit drugs. Alongside the significant drug haul, 57 suspects were also detained in connection with drug trafficking, transportation, storage activities, and street dealing.
The meticulous efforts of the Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch yielded a vast array of confiscated narcotics. The seized drugs included 2,090 kg and 138 grams of cannabis, 8.8 grams of skunk, 27.35 grams of heroin, 0.55 grams of cocaine, 66.86 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, 124.14 grams of synthetic drugs, 1.01 grams of opium gum, as well as 54 unidentified pills and 306 root cannabis.
The operations were part of an intensified crackdown on drug-related offenses, aiming to dismantle drug networks and ensure public safety. The successful outcome highlights the commitment and determination of the security forces to combat drug-related crimes in the region.
Following the extensive operation, legal action was taken against all 57 suspects, who are now facing charges related to drug trafficking and related activities. The authorities continue to investigate further to dismantle any remaining drug networks and ensure that those involved in the illicit drug trade face the full force of the law.
