The announcement came during a meeting with several teachers and officials from various madrassas in the city.

The scholars attending the meeting highlighted the positive changes taking place in religious madrassas in Kabul, and mentioned that efforts have been made to introduce modern education for students.

Mawlavi Abdul Kabir stated that the IEA would allocate funds to strengthen not only public madrassas but also private ones.

He also urged all private madrassas to align their curricula in coordination with the Ministry of Education.

The announcement is seen as a positive step by the IEA, and is likely to be welcomed by the scholars and students of madrassas in Kabul. (ILKHA)
