Furthermore, Spain aims to contribute to the security and stability of the Eastern Mediterranean region throughout its EU presidency.
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares presented the program, titled "A Closer Europe," during an event held in Madrid on June 29. Minister Albares emphasized Spain's determination to pursue various goals, including promoting reindustrialization, advancing ecological sustainability, ensuring social and economic justice, and strengthening political unity.
During its six-month EU presidency, Spain has planned to host 22 high-level informal meetings, fostering dialogue and cooperation among EU member states.
Spain assumed the EU presidency from Sweden on Saturday, marking the beginning of its term with a focus on strengthening ties and fostering positive relations within the European Union and beyond. (ILKHA)
