In a press statement on Saturday, Bassam Abu Sneina, a Palestinian researcher specializing in Jerusalem affairs, emphasized the importance of intensifying Palestinian presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to thwart Judaization plans. He warned that the recent attacks by zionist forces constitute a significant part of the larger agenda to impose Jewish influence over the Mosque, particularly targeting its eastern area.
Abu Sneina further highlighted the zionist government's encouragement of Jewish settlers to desecrate the sacred site, stressing that this exacerbates tensions and undermines the sanctity of the mosque.
The focus of the zionist government, according to Abu Sneina, is the elimination of Palestinian presence at the Bab al-Asbat and Bab al-Rahma areas. He asserted that the Palestinian people will not remain passive observers as the Israeli occupation and its settlers continue to disrespect the revered holy site.
Earlier on the same day, zionist police forces launched a violent crackdown, arresting several Palestinian youths in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque after sealing off the Asbat Gate. (ILKHA)
