The meeting, held in Teheran, aimed to discuss political and field developments related to Palestine.
Ahmadian underscored the significant role Palestine plays in the Islamic world and stressed the need for unity among Muslims, particularly the regional players in the resistance, as a means to deal a severe blow to the Zionist enemy and its supporters.
Ahmadian drew attention to the efforts made by adversaries to create divisions among the Resistance groups. He specifically mentioned how the unity and support exhibited by these groups towards the Islamic Jihad movement in a recent conflict had profoundly disheartened the zionist regime. Ahmadian commended Hamas for their unwavering resilience against the zionist regime and pointed out that the Palestinian Resistance, initially focused on defending Gaza, was now consolidating its presence in the West Bank.
Expressing gratitude, Ismail Haniyeh acknowledged the significant and effective role played by Iran in promoting unity and cooperation among Islamic nations and Palestinian Resistance groups. Haniyeh, heading a high-ranking delegation, had been invited to Teheran by Iran. The Hamas delegation is scheduled to engage in meetings with Iranian officials, where they will exchange opinions on the political and on-the-ground developments pertaining to Palestine.
The meeting between General Ali-Akbar Ahmadian and Ismail Haniyeh reflects the ongoing commitment and efforts of Iran and Hamas to address the Palestinian cause and seek a resolution to the long-standing occupation of Palestine. (ILKHA)
