Making remarks on the issues addressed during the cabinet meeting, Erdoğan said: “We, together, want to liberate our country from its current constitution, which is the product of a coup d’état. We want our journey in the second century of our Republic to be guided by a civilian, libertarian and inclusive constitution that is embraced by all segments of the society. Türkiye has now attained the political atmosphere needed to achieve this.”
Underlining that the Turkish democracy is now strong enough to get rid of the last shackles on its feet, Erdoğan stated: “Türkiye has now risen to a new league with the May 14 and May 28 elections. We will inshallah work with our partners in the People’s Alliance to introduce a civilian constitution in Türkiye during our time in office.” (ILKHA)
