Launching their heartfelt campaign titled “Let the Sacrifices Be for Orphans,” the renowned organization, dedicated to providing assistance to orphaned and destitute children around the world, aims to collect donations specifically for sacrificial animals.
Cemil Cahit Ünsal, a passionate member of the foundation's Advisory Board, expressed his fervent belief in the true essence of sacrifice. He stated: “If sacrificial animals are given with sincerity for the sake of Allah, they truly become sacrifices. We can only truly celebrate the holiday if we approach it with the understanding of Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail, peace be upon them." Emphasizing that financial wealth is not a prerequisite for this act, Ünsal added, "It is important to note that sacrificing an animal does not require one to be wealthy. Through the selfless thoughts of individuals, we have reached this point, thanks be to Allah.”
Ünsal expressed deep gratitude for the continuous support received and highlighted the importance of generous contributions in achieving their goals and implementing vital projects. He added: “As always, we know that generous, philanthropic, and wealthy donors will bring joy and hope.” The ultimate objective of this campaign is to distribute sacrificial meat to thousands of orphans, widows, and the needy, thereby bringing hope and joy to their eyes.
Drawing attention to the plight of thousands of orphans, widows, and the disadvantaged eagerly awaiting assistance, Ünsal urged: “Let's not forget the thousands of orphans, widows, and the needy waiting for our help both domestically and internationally. Asia, Africa, Yemen, Palestine, Afghanistan, and all oppressed regions are awaiting us. Orphans and widows in Turkey also eagerly await our support.”
Ünsal provided detailed information about the donation amounts for sacrificial animals, assuring that the foundation's representatives would show utmost sensitivity and work selflessly during Eid al-Adha.
He stated: “I am confident that all our representative brothers and sisters will show the necessary sensitivity during this Eid al-Adha and work selflessly. They are already working in the field. God willing, we will bring joy to orphans, widows, and the needy together during this Eid al-Adha.”
The specified donation amounts for sacrificial animals are as follows: 5,250 Turkish Lira for large animals in Turkey, 150 Yemeni Rial, 300 Palestinian Shekels, 150 Afghanis, 100 Euros for Africa, and 150 Euros for Asia.
