Speaking at a press conference in Berlin, US Ambassador to Germany, Amy Gutmann, expressed her excitement for the exercise and highlighted its significant impact.

Ambassador Gutmann emphasized the extraordinary nature of the event, stating, "This exercise will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on all who witness it."

She further emphasized that the exercise will effectively showcase the spirit and resilience of the alliance, including its significance for world leaders such as Vladimir Putin.

Named Air Defender 2023, the exercise has witnessed the deployment of over 100 aircraft and 2,000 military personnel from the United States to Europe. Ambassador Gutmann highlighted that this deployment exercise will be the most extensive display of allied air power in NATO's history, effectively highlighting the agility and swift response capabilities of the alliance.

Set to take place in the near future, the exercise will witness the participation of approximately 10,000 military personnel from 25 NATO nations. Their collective efforts will focus on engaging in defensive maneuvers within German and European airspace, aimed at enhancing coordination and cooperation among NATO members.
