Russian missile strike on clinic in Dnipro causes deaths and injuries

A clinic in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro was hit by a Russian missile, resulting in at least two deaths and 23 injuries, including children.

The intensification of Russian strikes on Ukraine in recent weeks has raised concerns as a Ukrainian counteroffensive is anticipated.

Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky shared a video showing the damaged clinic, with firefighters present and smoke emanating from the building.

“Another Russian missile attack, another crime against humanity as such. The buildings of a psychological clinic and a veterinary clinic in the city of Dnipro were destroyed. As of now, one person was killed and 15 were wounded. The shelling aftermath is being eliminated and the victims are being rescued. All necessary services are involved,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

“Only an evil state can fight against clinics. There can be no military purpose in this. It is pure Russian terror. Russia has chosen the path of evil of its own will, and it will not abandon this path by itself. We must defeat terror and we will do it. Ukraine and the entire free world together,” he added.

Firefighters at the scene were observed cutting down trees to facilitate the positioning of a mounted hose near the engulfed flames that had consumed the sizable three-story building. (ILKHA)
