A ceremony took place in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, on Tuesday, where the agreements were formalized.

The signed documents encompass a wide range of areas, including preferential trade arrangements, visa waivers, cultural exchanges, collaboration in supervising pharmaceutical production, scientific and technological cooperation, innovation partnerships, as well as bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sectors.

These agreements were signed in the presence of the presidents of Iran and Indonesia, accompanied by senior ministers from both countries.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi embarked on an official visit to Indonesia after receiving an invitation from his Indonesian counterpart, Joko Widodo.

The Iranian delegation, comprising several ministers, is set to engage in various meetings with Indonesian officials, scholars, and the Iranian expatriate community. (ILKHA)
