In a press statement released on Tuesday evening, Husam Badran, a member of Hamas political bureau, commended all the student blocks that participated in the elections, emphasizing that the victory of the Islamic Bloc reflects the Palestinian masses' choice of resistance.

Badran further stated that the election results demonstrate that the targeting of student activists by the Israeli authorities will not diminish the determination of Palestinian students to support the Palestinian cause.

Badran urged student activists across the occupied territories to continue their efforts in organizing awareness campaigns in solidarity with the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the just Palestinian cause.

Earlier today, the Islamic Bloc, which is affiliated with the Hamas Movement, secured 40 out of 81 seats in the students council elections held at An-Najah National University. (ILKHA)
