According to local sources, the zionist police arrested the Turkish woman, who was trying to pray at Bab al-Rahmeh prayer area inside the Mosque compound, after she refused to leave.
A Palestinian man, who worked as a guard at the Mosque, intervened to help the woman and was also arrested after the police assaulted him.
The Turkish woman was released after several hours of detention at the Russian compound police station in West Jerusalem.
The police also detained a Palestinian man from Qalanswa, who was trying to enter the Mosque for prayers, citing a violation of the order banning him from being at the site.
Additionally, another Palestinian man was detained outside the Magistrate Court in West Jerusalem, where a gathering of people and journalists had assembled to show solidarity with a Palestinian resident of occupied East Jerusalem, whose trial was postponed until next week.
