Gümüş urged all Muslims to maintain the beautiful behaviors and habits they have obtained during Ramadan.
In his message, he also addressed the plight of the Palestinians who are currently under attack by the zionist occupation regime.
Here is the complete text of the message:
Praise and peace be upon Allah, the Creator, Protector, and Ruler of all worlds. Peace and blessings be upon Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), who is the Messenger of Allah, the leader of the creatures, and the example for humanity.
My hope is that Eid al-Fitr will bring peace, freedom, joy, prosperity, and goodness to the Islamic Ummah. I want to extend my congratulations for Eid al-Fitr to the families of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Allah, the Muslim prisoners and migrants and their families, as well as my brothers and sisters who tirelessly work day and night to serve our cause. May our Lord make the Eid a source of strength, empowerment, and success in their endeavors.
Ramadan al-Sharif, the month of the Qur'an and fasting, has honored all of us as the greatest opportunity and the door to goodness and salvation in our lives.
Based on the Prophet's joyful proclamation that " When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained”, I am convinced that the genuine recitation of the Qur'an, the diligent observance of prayers, the faithful practice of fasting, and the generous sharing of iftar and sahur meals have cleansed the hearts of believers, removing the stains caused by their minor and major sins, and bringing them closer to Allah by several strides throughout the year.
Do not let go of the habit of daily recitation and remembrance of Allah that you began or increased during Ramadan, even after the blessed month has passed. Keep up with it in Shawwal and beyond, and make it a permanent part of your life, rather than just a temporary practice. Maintain the habit of getting up for sahur at night as the custom of getting up for the tahajjud prayer. Continue to adorn your body, which has become accustomed to fasting, with supererogatory fasting, which is sunnah.
Maintain the habit of getting up for sahur at night as the habit of waking up for the tahajjud prayer. Continue to adorn your body, which has become accustomed to fasting during Ramadan, with supererogatory fasting, which is sunnah. Continue your prayers and repentance throughout the year. Protect your tongue and eyes from haram. Because we never know if we will live to see the next Ramadan, so live a life of taqwa and invite your family, friends, and relatives to join you. When you do so, you will gain strength, diversify your good deeds, and receive blessings in return.
It is very important for us to become stronger physically and spiritually. Because the attacks against Islam are increasing both physically and intellectually. Apart from those who openly defame the Qur'an and our beloved Prophet, peace be upon him, we have noticed that there are individuals who cunningly twist the commands of Allah and use persuasive language to entice Muslims to break the boundaries of what is lawful and what is forbidden. Such individuals are becoming increasingly brazen in their actions. In particular, the increasing attempts to eliminate modest family life, to push men and women into unnatural roles, and to normalize corrupt and perverted relationships are not a coincidence. These are insidious projects, all managed from the same center, with the aim of leading people towards moral depravity. You must not allow this deviant group to normalize their actions. You will express the human and societal principles of Islam on every platform and explain how violating these principles will lead humanity towards disaster. While developing your knowledge of Islamic sciences, you will also support yourself with scientific, technical and social knowledge. With Allah's permission, you will unite the ummah and raise humanity from where it has fallen.
Our Palestinian brothers and sisters have once again been subjected to the attacks of the Zionists during this Ramadan. They had to fast under the shadow of guns. May Allah accept their efforts. May Allah use the efforts of our Palestinian brothers and sisters during this Ramadan as a catalyst for the awakening of all Muslims, and the liberation of Masjid al-Aqsa from the occupation of Zionists. May He strengthen the believers who work for His pleasure all over the world with His mercy. May He turn their Eids into true festivals.
My warmest congratulations go to our brothers who have suffered greatly from the earthquake, losing their loved ones, homes, and jobs. I pray that they will enter the upcoming month of Ramadan and the Eid celebration free from any hardship, with the blessings of the Almighty.
Additionally, I extend my congratulations to our dedicated brothers and sisters who tirelessly served earthquake victims, regardless of the challenging weather conditions. I pray that Allah grants them blessings and goodness in this world and the hereafter, and enables them to continue their righteous deeds.
I congratulate each and every one of you on Eid Al Fitr, and on this occasion, I humbly request that you include in your prayers the growth, strengthening, and expansion of our service, as well as the removal of any obstacles we may encounter.
May Allah be with you!
Your Brother Edip Gümüş (ILKHA)
