Nurettin Teymur, a member of the board of directors of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı), congratulated all Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr on behalf of the foundation.
Teymur expressed that they are once again observing this Eid Al Fitr with sadness and said: “We lost tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters in the earthquake that occurred in our country and was referred to as the disaster of the century. The painful memories of the injured, children who became orphans, parents who lost their children, and the millions of our people who lost their homes and livelihoods have saddened us all. We wish our brothers and sisters a speedy recovery, and we offer our condolences to our nation.”
Teymur emphasized that they have entered into great solidarity with the earthquake victims, as required by the responsibility that brotherhood of faith imposes on them.
He continued as follows: “Since the first day of the earthquake until now, everyone from all over the country has rushed to the earthquake zone in the most beautiful solidarity of brotherhood of faith, carried aid, and tried to heal the wounds. Thanks to Allah the Almighty, who made us brothers in faith, we shared the pain and sorrow of our brothers and sisters who were affected by the earthquake, became partners in their troubles, and tried to support them with a relief effort.”
Teymur, who also mentioned that Al-Aqsa Mosque is still under the occupation of zionists this Ramadan, said: “Every Ramadan, we watch with concern as zionist killers make shedding the blood of Muslims a habit, violate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and continue to occupy Jerusalem. While our brothers and sisters there defend Al-Aqsa Mosque at the cost of their lives and become a source of pride, we as other Muslims feel ashamed for not being able to do more against the zionist killers.”
Teymur expressed their condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wished healing for those who are still being treated. "We pray for patience for all victims. We offer our get-well wishes to all our brothers and sisters around the world, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters in Jerusalem. We pray to our Lord to pour His support and blessings on these oppressed lands."
“May Eid Al Fitr be a means for the children of the ummah to come together and stand up with dignity against the oppressors”
Teymur concluded as follows: “We pray to Allah that Eid al-Fitr will be an occasion for the children of the ummah to stand up with dignity, come together, gather all Muslims around tawhid with a Muhammadan spirit, and re-establish the bond of brotherhood in faith with a Qur'anic consciousness. We congratulate all our Muslim brothers on Eid al-Fitr with our deepest emotions.” (ILKHA)
