3 highway workers die when struck by speeding vehicle in southeastern Türkiye

On Wednesday, a light commercial vehicle hit workers who were working on the Diyarbakır-Elazığ highway, resulting in the death of three people and injuring one.

The accident took place at around 10:00 am at the 16th kilometer of the highway, as reported by local sources.

Following initial medical intervention at the accident site, the injured worker was taken to the hospital.

The deceased workers were identified as Mehmet Turan, Murat Fidan, and Ahmet Özkisi.

Authorities have launched an investigation to locate the driver who fled the scene after abandoning the vehicle. (ILKHA)
