The foundation, which serves hot meals three times daily to more than 10,000 people in Iskenderun, is distributing humanitarian aid in the district's rural areas through mobile volunteer teams.

The foundation sends humanitarian aid through mobile volunteer teams to the earthquake victims who report items urgently needed to the coordination center.

Speaking to Ilke News Agency regarding their humanitarian aid efforts in Iskenderun, Nedim Öner, a coordinator for the Hope Caravan Foundation, said: As the Hope Caravan, we came to the Iskenderun district of Hatay on the second day of the earthquake. We held a meeting to discuss what we can do to heal the wounds of our people. We decided to set up soup kitchens to distribute hot meals to people in Millet Park. Here, we provide hot meals to our people affected by the earthquake three times a day.”

“In addition, we are delivering humanitarian aid supplies donated by benefactors to families in need, especially to the rural areas of Iskenderun and Hatay. People called us and conveyed their demands. Some demanded food supplies, some cleaning agents, some children's supplies,” Öner added.

He also called on benefactors to continue their support of the humanitarian aid efforts in the earthquake zone. (ILKHA)
