The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, humanitarian aid, strengthening friendly relations, and other matters of interest, the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) said in a statement.

Khalis thanked South Korea for its humanitarian aid and asked for further assistance for Afghans in need.

He also sought cooperation in the treatment of patients suffering from mental illnesses and in providing training programs for the Afghan people.

For his part, Mr. Sung-hwan promised to cooperate in the fields mentioned by the Afghan official. (ILKHA)
