The accident involved several collisions between 3 buses, 13 sedans, two silobuses, 3 trucks, a semi-trailer truck, and two light commercial vehicles on TEM highway, a major thoroughfare that connects many neighborhoods in Istanbul.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, local sources reported.
