Hamas leader phones Turkish president, offers condolences over earthquake victims

According to a statement released by Hamas, Haneyya expressed the Movement’s full solidarity with Turkey, its people and leadership during this painful ordeal.

The Hamas leader applauded the Turkish leadership, especially the president, for its great role in handling the disaster, expressing his confidence that Turkey would recover from this ordeal and become stronger than before.

For his part, president Recep Erdogan expressed his thanks to Haneyya for his phone call and his solidarity with Turkey in its earthquake tragedy.

The president put the Hamas leader in the picture of the latest developments related to the earthquake and its victims, affirming his keenness on rebuilding what had been destroyed. (ILKHA)
