“He will meet with the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoǧan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Ankara, and visit areas affected by the devastating earthquakes of 6 February,” the alliance said in a statement.
On 6 February, a catastrophic and destructive Mw 7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey, as well as northern and western Syria.
Turkish authorities said that at least 35,418 people have been killed in the country. The Syrian government and the UN said more than 5,800 people died in Syria. (ILKHA)
