Visiting a tent city set up for earthquake victims in Kahramanmaraş, Erdoğan inspected the ongoing search and rescue, as well as relief efforts in the province.

Erdoğan said that the death toll from a devastating earthquake that struck southern Türkiye and Syria rose above 11,200.

“Initially there were issues at airports and on the roads, but today things are getting easier and tomorrow it will be easier still. We have mobilized all our resources. The state is doing its job,” he said.

On Tuesday, Erdoğan declared a three-month state of emergency in 10 provinces hit by a deadly earthquake that has claimed thousands of lives. (ILKHA)
