“We will meet again on February 13, hosted by the Felicity Party. In this meeting, either we will announce our candidate, or we will announce the date on which we will announce our candidate,” Kilicdaroglu said in a televised interview.
When asked if he would be the candidate of the Republican People's Party, Kilicdaroglu said: “Every party naturally wants to see its leader as a presidential candidate. CHP members also want to see their leader as a presidential candidate. What matters here is that the six leaders come together and make a joint decision.”
The Nation Alliance, Türkiye's six-party opposition alliance, is an electoral alliance in Turkey made up of some of the major Turkish opposition parties that was established following the country's 2017 constitutional referendum to contest under a common banner in the country's 2018 general-presidential election, later for the 2019 local elections, and presently for the upcoming 2023 presidential and general-parliamentary elections in May.
