“A total of 68 passengers and four crew members were on board the Yeti airlines aircraft that crashed between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport,” Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson of Yeti Airlines told the Kathmandu Post, a major daily newspaper published in Nepal.

Bartaula said efforts were underway to extinguish the fire caused by the Pokhara plane crash.

Images and videos shared on social media platforms showed plumes of smoke billowing from the crash site. (ILKHA)
