Referring to the measures to be taken against the recent hike in coronavirus cases in China, HÜDA PAR spokesman Yunus Emiroğlu said: “The Chinese administration has decided to lift the flight and passenger number restrictions imposed on international flights in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as of January 8, 2023. Passengers coming from abroad will not have to obtain a health code from China's embassies or consulates before traveling.
The recent increase in cases in the country has triggered concerns. The World Health Organization called on the Chinese government to ‘share data and continue research on cases’ so that a comprehensive assessment of the current situation can be made.
Many countries have imposed testing and quarantine requirements for travelers from China due to the increase in cases. Turkey’s geopolitical location and transit and transfer passenger capacity necessitate taking serious measures regarding passengers coming from China. In this regard, Turkey should test the passengers coming from China without wasting time within the scope of the fight against the epidemic.” (ILKHA)
