Zabiullah Mujahid and his accompanying delegation met with the head of Hamas’s Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, and his delegation in Istanbul, Turkey's most populous city as well as its cultural and financial hub.
Both sides discussed the current situation in Palestine and Afghanistan.
Mujahid emphasized that they, as Afghan government, considered the issue of Palestine as the issue of the entire Islamic world and supported the Palestinian cause.
The Deputy Chairman of ITTIHADUL ULEMA (the Union of Scholars and Madrasahs), Suat Yaşasın, accompanied the Afghan delegation during the meeting. (ILKHA)
