Irkutsk governor Igor Kobzev said on Telegram that the Su-34 fighter plane had crashed into a two-story house in the city.

Kobzev also published a video showing firefighters clambering over the wreckage and directing jets of water at the still-smoldering rubble.

It has been the second such incident in six days.

Last Monday, a Su-34 military aircraft crashed into an apartment building in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. At least 15 people were killed in the accident, according to Russian officials. (ILKHA)
