“The israeli court in Rishon LeZion decided to extend prisoner Awawdeh’s detention, transferring his file to the Israeli central court in Lod,” spokesperson of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority, Hassan Abd Rabbo, said.

He underlined that Awawdeh, who is currently held in Ramleh prison clinic, is suffering from problems in his eyes and brain, adding that a brain scan revealed a problem in his nervous system.

For its part, the Ministry of detainees affairs in Gaza affirmed that the zionist occupation regime is repudiating the agreement of Awawdeh’s release.

Earlier in August, 40-year-old prisoner Awawdeh suspended his hunger strike that lasted more than 170 days following promises that he would be released on the second of October. (ILKHA)
