In July 2022, Germany’s exports to countries outside the European Union (third countries) were down a calendar and seasonally adjusted 7.6% compared with June 2022, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said on Monday

On a seasonally and calendar-adjusted basis, Germany exported goods to the value of 56.8 billion euros in July 2022 according to provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office.

Germany's exports to Russia in July were 56 percent below those in July 2021 because of the Ukraine war, the Destatis said.

The value was one billion euros. This put Russia in twelfth place among the most important destinations for German exports outside the EU.

In February, before the Russian aggression against Ukraine began, Russia was still in fifth place. (ILKHA)
