“Three Grad missiles were fired at the Zelkan military base in Bashir district of Nineveh province, where the Turkish army forces are located. According to initial reports, one of the missiles landed near the military base and two others landed around the village of Gudad, causing no casualties,” the statement said.

“The rockets were fired from Mosul city. Five rockets were prepared to be fired but only three could be fired,” it added.

This has been the second reported attack on Turkish troops in northern Iraq since a shelling, blamed on Turkey, in Duhok province killed nine civilians. (ILKHA)
