At least another eight, including three children, are reported missing in floods, according to Assam state disaster management authority.
More than 1,5 million flood-displaced people have taken shelter in over 500 relief camps set up across the state.
"Severe floods have caused a lot of difficulties to the people this time," tweeted Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam state chief minister.
In May, deadly floods hit Assam. More than 650,000 people have been evacuated from their homes and 25 people have been reported killed.
