The explosion took place in a café where gas was being used to inflate balloons for the celebration, Iran’s Red Crescent said.
The cafe owner, his wife, and his three children were among the victims, according to local sources.
Some of the people in the basement of the venue suffered from smoke inhalation. (ILKHA)
