Ukraine’s forces destroyed 1,305 Russian tanks, 206 aircraft, 170 helicopters, and 3,213 armored carriers, according to the statement.

The statement said that Ukrainian forces had destroyed 596 Russian artillery systems.

According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 3,942 Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks.

“Most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by the use of explosive weapons with a wide impact area, including shelling from heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, and missile and airstrikes,” OHCHR said.

The agency noted that it believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration.

UN refugee agency said that more than 6.4 million Ukrainians had been forced to leave their country since Russian aggression began. (ILKHA)
