This came in a statement issued on Tuesday evening following a meeting held by the resistance factions in Gaza at the invitation of Hamas chief Yehya as-Sinwar.
The factions stated that the meeting came as part of their ongoing sessions that started last week to assess the current situation and agree on mechanisms for dealing with the challenges that could arise in the coming days.
They paid tribute to the Palestinian people across the occupied territories, especially the steadfast men and women at the Aqsa Mosque, whom it described as “in the vanguard of defending the Mosque and all the Arab holy sites in the holy city.”
They also saluted the martyrs’ families, “who made huge sacrifices to protect the Aqsa Mosque and defend the Palestinian people’s dignity, land, and holy sites.” (ILKHA)
