Turkey finds mine-like object floating off Black Sea

Turkish Defense Ministry said that the navy team intervene in a mine-like object off Kefken, a small island that lies off the Black Sea coast of Turkey.

“The mine-like object detected off Kefken was identified as a mine by our Marine Patrol aircraft.,” the Ministry tweeted.

“The area was secured by the SAS team and intervention was initiated to neutralize it,” the Ministry added.

Last week, Russia’s main intelligence agency said that several mines had drifted out to sea after breaking off from cables near Ukrainian ports. (ILKHA)
