In a statement on Saturday, Sheikh Sabri affirmed that the occupation state would be responsible for any possible deterioration of the security situation in Jerusalem if it persisted in protecting the settlers who defile the Aqsa Mosque.

He pointed out that such step would contradict the zionist government’s claims about its keenness on calming and defusing the situation in the holy city.

The Jerusalemite official warned that no one could stop the Palestinian people when they rise up to defend their Mosque.

Recently, the zionist occupation authority decided in principle to allow Jewish settlers to tour the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards during Ramadan. The decision was taken following a meeting held by officials from the police and the national security council.

Zionist premier Naftali Bennett also intends to hold another meeting in the coming days to take a final decision in this regard. (ILKHA)
