As a part of their official interactions in the country, Karavil and accompanying delegation paid a visit to the Higher Education Ministry in the Afghan capital Kabul.
The delegation was welcomed by Minister Al-Haqqani, Deputy Minister Mevlevi Muhammad Hamid Hasib, Rector of Kabul University Osama Aziz as well as some ministry officials.
Expressing his satisfaction with the delegation's visit, Al Haqqani Hanafi said that such visits are important for the development of relations between Turkey and Afghanistan.
Al-Haqqani stressed that “Afghanistan has been lagging behind in education due to the war with the occupation forces for 43 years, but the Islamic Emirate will quickly overcome this backwardness.”
“Turkey is one of the most developed countries in the Muslim world,” Al Haqqani said and added: “There are many similarities between Turkey and Afghanistan among Islamic countries. I think if Turkey shares all its experience in the field of education with its sister country Afghanistan, we will be able to bridge the gap in education in a very short time.”
“We aim to carry out many projects in the field of education in Afghanistan. We want to build libraries in all cities of Afghanistan, and we want to open the largest one in Kabul,” Al Haqqani stated.
Al Haqqani underlined that “the enemies of Islam do not want an education system in accordance with Islamic rules to be implemented in Afghanistan, therefore they are doing black propaganda against Islamic Emirate in the international media outlets.”
Al Haqqani called on all Islamic countries to support the new Afghan government in the projects it wants to implement.
“We expect the greatest support from Turkey,” he added.
For his part, Fikri Karavil, the head of Orphans Foundation, said that they are ready to offer all kinds of support to the Islamic Emirate within their means.
At the end of the visit, Al Haqqani presented the Orphans Foundation delegation with a plaque as well as the copies of three books he penned. (ILKHA)
