In January, compared with the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 90.6%, 41.5%, 40.1%, 38.7%, 22.5% and 22.1% for minibuses, cars, small trucks, trucks, special purpose vehicles and buses while it decreased by 51.9% and 31.9% for tractors and motorcycles respectively.

In January, compared with the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 23.9% and 9.0% for minibuses and trucks, while it decreased by 68.1%, 43.8%, 34.7%, 26.8%, 20.6% and 9.2% for special purpose vehicles, cars, tractors, small trucks, buses and motorcycles respectively.

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in January, Renault recorded 22.4%, Fiat 15.7%, Hyundai 8.7%, Toyota 8.4%, Dacia 6.5%, Peugeot 4.7%, Citroen 4.3%, Volkswagen 4.0%, Honda 3.6%, Skoda 2.9%, Opel 2.8%, Audi 2.2%, Ford 2.0%, BMW 1.9%, Mercedes-Benz 1.9%, Kia 1.6%, Volvo 1.2%, Seat 1.2%, Nissan 0.7%, Jeep 0.5% and the other trademarks 2.8% of the total.
In January the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 71.6%
Among 41 thousand 839 cars registered in January, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 71.6% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 17.7%, electric or hybrid cars with 9.3% and LPG-fuelled cars with 1.4%. At the end of January, among 13 million 747 thousand 672 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 37.6% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 35.8% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 25.6%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 0.7% and the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%.
Most frequent engine size was 1300 or less for registered cars in January
Within 41 thousand 839 cars registered to traffic in January, 34.9% had 1300 or less, 27.7% had 1301-1400, 24.1% had 1401-1500, 6.8% had 1601-2000, 5.1% had 1501-1600, 0.7% had 2001 and above engine size.
