The documentary series featured seven historical heritage sites, namely the Ancient City of Hattusha, the Ancient City of Ephesus, Sümela Monastery, Selimiye Mosque, and its Social Complex, Mevlana Dervish Lodge Museum, St. Paul Church, and Göbeklitepe.

On the axis of “human-location-life,” the documentaries aim to promote the social, religious, and cultural accumulation of ancient Anatolian civilizations that has been brought down to the current day. The documentary series highlights Anatolia’s rich cultural heritage through seven historical sites, providing expert commentary on each site.

On the other hand, the Directorate of Communications has compiled a book called “Cradle of Civilizations Anatolia and Türkiye’s Public Diplomacy” to promote the unique values of Anatolia, which hosted numerous civilizations throughout history, through public diplomacy.

The website https://medeniyetlerbesigi.com offers seven documentaries and the said book prepared as part of the project “Cradle of Civilizations Anatolia”, including photographs and detailed information about cultural heritage. The documentary series will be shared on the social media accounts of the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications and broadcast on the documentary channel of Turkish state television, TRT Belgesel.

Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun indicated that Anatolia, which has hosted numerous civilizations, is the “cradle of civilizations” abundant in unique pieces of art and said that they are working hard to promote Anatolia’s historical and cultural values across all platforms.

Underlining their goal of promoting Anatolia’s rich history through public diplomacy and contributing to cultural tourism, Altun said: “We attach great importance to promoting the heritage and values of different civilizations that existed on Anatolian territory and passing on this vast cultural heritage to future generations.” (ILKHA)
