This came during recent meetings held in Algeria by a delegation from the Hamas Movement led by member of Hamas’s political bureau Sami Abu Zuhri.

According to the official Hamas website, the delegation met with many officials and national figures from the People’s National Assembly (the lower house of the Algerian parliament), the National Council for Human Rights, the National Liberation Front, the National Democratic Assembly, the Future Front party, the Movement of Society for Peace, the National Construction Movement and the Association of Algerian Muslim Ulama.

During those meetings, the delegation affirmed that Hamas welcomes Algerian president Abdul-Majid Tebboune’s call for holding an inter-Palestinian meeting in the country.

The delegation also briefed the Algerian officials and national figures on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena, especially with regard to Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque and the harsh living conditions in the besieged Gaza Strip. (ILKHA)
