“The drought caused by the climate change in the world has also increased the problem of poverty and hunger. According to a UN report, the problem of hunger can be solved with only 2% of the net income of Elon Musk, who is the richest person in the world. The resulting rate revealed that the main cause of poverty in the world is global income inequality and that billionaires increase their wealth through the labor of the poor,” HÜDA PAR Headquarters said in its weekly statement on the external agenda.
“One of the most important causes of poverty is internal conflicts and instability. It has been announced that 16.2 million people in Yemen, which has been fighting a civil war since 2015 and is one of the poorest countries in the world, lack food security and 75% of children are malnourished. In order to end the problem of hunger and poverty that will cause a great humanitarian disaster in the world, the capitalist exploitation system that causes income inequality must be ended. The waste in the world is more than all the food needs of people living under the hunger line. An international study should be carried out urgently to prevent waste. For the solution of political instability, action should be taken to ensure the food needs and security of civilians in countries struggling with chaos, especially in Yemen, and conflicts should be stopped and necessary food supply should be provided.”
“A political structure that guarantees the rights of Muslim Bosnians should be established in Bosnia and Herzegovina”
Touching upon the recent escalation which took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina after Milorad Dodik, the Serb member of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, announced last month that the country’s Serb-run entity, Republika Srpska, will quit key state institutions to achieve full autonomy within the country, HÜDA PAR said: “The threatening and fascist statements of the Serbian authorities towards Muslim Bosnians in Bosnia and Herzegovina increased day by day. Bosnia and Herzegovina's High Representative, Christian Schmidt, in his first report to the United Nations since he took office in August, stated that Bosnia faces 'the greatest existential threat of the post-war era'. This warning comes while the images of the greatest tragedy and massacre of Muslims in Europe after the Second World War are fresh in our minds. It has revealed that the Serbs and their supporters have not given up on their evil ambitions.”
HÜDA PAR went on to say: “Although the Dayton Agreement signed in 1995 ensured peace in the region, the established political structure has become a ‘straitjacket’ for the Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The division of the country into three statelets and Bosnia and Herzegovina into 10 separate cantons. The main source of the crisis and problems is that the country is ruled by Bosnian, Serb, and Croat representatives for 8 months alternately and that there is a High Representative with extended powers appointed by the UN to settle disputes and disagreements between them.”
“This ‘straitjacket’ clothed in Bosnia should be removed. A political structure that guarantees the rights of Muslim Bosnians should be established. At least one Muslim state should be the guarantor in the new Constitution. All Islamic countries, historical background, geographically and strategically, especially Turkey, should defend the rights of Bosnian Muslims. UN and EU countries should never allow steps to destabilize Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
Migrant crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border
Regarding the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, HÜDA PAR said:
“These immigrants are trying to survive under cold weather conditions, with insufficient food and medical support. Children constitute a significant part of the immigrants that Poland and Belarus try to use as weapons against each other. Despite the growing humanitarian crisis in the region, where 13 immigrants lost their lives due to the cold, no progress could be made. It will not be possible to resolve the humanitarian tragedy on the Belarus-Polish border with additional military forces and fences. In order to prevent further losses in the region, humanitarian assistance should be provided immediately and a humanitarian corridor should be opened for the passage of migrants. In addition, an international conference should be held in order to find a final solution to the migrant problem. The concrete plans and projects should be prepared for the origin countries to stop migration at its source. At the same time, deterrent steps should be taken against violence and oppression policies against immigrants.” (ILKHA)
