The 89th INTERPOL General Assembly will bring together chiefs of police and senior officials from around the world to address global security issues.

 The General Assembly opening ceremony at 10 am on Tuesday will be open to the media.

The closing ceremony in the afternoon of Thursday will also be open to the media.

A press conference will also be held at a time and date to be confirmed.

The General Assembly is INTERPOL's supreme governing body and comprises delegates appointed by the governments of member countries.

It meets once a year and takes all the major decisions affecting general policy, the resources needed for international cooperation, working methods, finances, and programs of activities. These decisions are in the form of resolutions. (ILKHA)
