At least 14 people killed as heavy rains hit southern India

Two people died in the last 24 hours while the other 12 were killed over the past few days, officials said.

The heavy rains first hit Chennai the capital of the state, over the weekend, submerging many parts of the city.

Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department has issued a Flash Flood Guidance of moderate risk over a few watersheds and neighborhoods of North Costal Tamil Nadu. (ILKHA)
