ND-PPI (2010=100) decreased by 0.92% monthly, increased by 19.80% on December of the previous year, by 30.81% on same month of the previous year and by 36.27% on the twelve months moving averages basis in August 2021, according to the statement.
Manufacturing increased by 30.83% annually
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 30.19% for mining and quarrying, by 30.83% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 39.54% for intermediate goods, by 31.63% for durable consumer goods, by 21.81% for non-durable consumer goods, by 103.23% for energy, by 17.06% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing decreased by 0.93% monthly
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry decreased by 0.55% for mining and quarrying, by 0.93% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.
The indices of main industrial groups; decreased by 0.08% for intermediate goods, by 0.13% for durable consumer goods, by 1.44% for non-durable consumer goods, by 1.24% for energy, by 1.89% for capital goods, monthly.
Compared to general ND-PPI, lower annual change observed in 17 subdivisions while 8 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other transport equipment by 13.60%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 13.70%, for machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 14.07%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 103.23%, for basic metals by 59.02%, for computer, electronic and optical products by 43.89%.
Compared to general ND-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 15 subdivisions while 10 subdivisions were higher
The highest rates of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other transport equipment by 3.18%, for machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 2.39%, for tobacco products by 2.35%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture by 2.49%, for basic metals by 1.80%, for metal ores by 0.36%.
