Sixty-two people were killed in floods in Kastamonu, fifteen people died in Sinop and another person died in Bartın, the Interior Ministry's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said.
The efforts to find and rescue missing people are reportedly still ongoing in the region.
About 950 workers in Bartin, 2,807 in Kastamonu, and 1,693 in Sinop are carrying out relief work in the affected areas, AFAD said.
Over 1,700 people were evacuated from the region, some with the help of helicopters and boats.
More than 5,000 spaces had been allocated in student dormitories to shelter those displaced by the floods.
